Shipping and Carriers

Every major Canadian carrier. One screen. Best rate wins.

CanShip connects natively to Canada Post, UPS Canada, FedEx Canada, FleetOptics, Wizmo, Purolator, UniUni, and Canpar. Rate shop every shipment, print the label, generate the manifest, and push tracking back to your sales channels automatically.

The carrier ladder

US shipping software doesn't speak Canadian. We do.

US WMS platforms are built around USPS and UPS. Canada Post is an afterthought, a third-party plugin if it's there at all. Rate cards, manifests, and end-of-day procedures differ significantly from US carriers. Getting it wrong means missed manifests, manual rate lookups, and labels that don't work at the post office. CanShip was built carrier-first, and the first carrier we wired in was Canada Post.

Native integration

Canada Post

Canada Post isn't an add-on, it's the backbone. Every service available: Expedited Parcel, Xpresspost, Priority, Regular Parcel, Small Packet. Real-time rate shopping, 4x6 thermal labels, end-of-day manifest. All 10 provinces and all 3 territories.

Domestic and cross-border

UPS Canada

Ground and express, across Canada and into the US. Full UPS Canada integration: rate shopping, label generation, tracking writeback. Route domestic and cross-border packages without leaving CanShip.

International capable

FedEx Canada

FedEx Canada with full cross-border capability, including commercial invoice generation for US and international shipments. Rate shop FedEx alongside Canada Post and UPS, best rate ships.

Regional last-mile

FleetOptics

Regional last-mile for Metro Vancouver and BC markets. Label generation and tracking writeback for fast last-mile delivery in supported regions.

National carrier

Purolator

One of Canada's top three national carriers, strong in Eastern Canada and business-to-business overnight delivery. Full integration with rate shopping, label generation, and tracking writeback. The carrier most-asked-about by Canadian shippers, now in the rate ladder.

Urban last-mile

UniUni

Last-mile urban delivery across Canadian metros (Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Montreal, Ottawa). Aggressive metro pricing on DTC shipments, used by some of the country's largest ecommerce brands. Native OAuth integration with rate shop and tracking writeback.

International parcel aggregator

Wizmo

Discount parcel aggregator for Canadian-origin international shipping. PMI, PMEI, ePacket, and IPA services through a single integration. Best for low-weight cross-border parcels where direct postal rates are uncompetitive.

Regional ground

Canpar

TFI International regional ground carrier, strong in Western Canada and cost-competitive on domestic ground freight. Full rate shopping and label generation, no international.

Beyond the carriers

Shipping isn't just label printing.

Rate shopping

Cheapest eligible option, every shipment

On Grow and above, CanShip compares rates across all your active carriers for every shipment and flags the cheapest eligible option. You set the rules (speed, carrier preference, weight breaks), CanShip executes.

Labels and manifests

Print the label. Close the manifest. You're done.

CanShip generates 4x6 thermal labels compatible with Zebra, Brother, and Dymo printers. When your team is done shipping for the day, generate the end-of-day Canada Post manifest in one click. No manual paperwork.

Channel writeback

Tracking goes back to the channel automatically

The moment a label is printed, CanShip captures the tracking number and writes it back to the order in Shopify, Amazon, or Extensiv. Your customers get notified. Your client portal updates. You don't touch it.

Cross-border

Customs paperwork, generated for you

For FedEx Canada cross-border and international shipments, CanShip generates the commercial invoice required at customs. Enter the HS code, country of origin, and declared value, CanShip produces the document.
